Who's holding this

Hello, I am Skye...

a steward to the spiral of women's remembering.

Skye standing in the green, holding a clay cup in both hands, looking at the camera.

My journey began in a doctor's office at fourteen, when I was handed my first pack of birth control pills, and again at sixteen, when I was advised to get a hormonal IUD that would stay with me for six years – six years in which I never once bled, never felt the rhythm of a cycle moving through me, never once knew what my body might have been trying to say. Nobody sat with me to explain what I was trading, what would be silenced, what I would not feel and would not know; it was simply presented as the responsible choice, the obvious path, the thing you do. This is still happening every day to girls who were just like me, who are handed silence before they have ever heard their own body's voice.

Around 2020, something began to stir in me, a quiet wondering I could not shake – what does it mean to have no period at all, what is my body not experiencing, what am I missing – and what followed were years of trial and error that left me more confused than when I started, trying to understand my own body with no map. There had to be a way to understand why my period skipped a month, to confidently practice safe sex without hormonal contraception or condoms, and to actually understand what was happening in my body... right?

Then I found fertility awareness.

I remember the moment exactly: I was reading about cervical fluid and basal body temperature and the beautiful, intricate signaling system that is the female cycle. Something in my chest – something that had been held tight for years, something I had not even known was so clenched – loosened; not because I was fixed all of a sudden, but because I had finally found an explanation, and I knew this was the way I could actually understand my body. The years of silence, the symptoms I had dismissed, and the vague sense that something was missing all found their context at last. I then understood that I was not broken, only uninformed.

That is why I do this work.

I am not here to fix you or optimize you or rush you toward some imagined version of yourself. I am here to help you understand yourself in a way that nobody offered me, to be the guide I never had, the woman also on the spiral reaching out to take your hand. My work sits at the intersection of science and physiology, and sacred cyclical wisdom. I believe in the numbers, and I also believe in the mystery of our highly intelligent bodies.

So, if you are feeling a stir, a sense that something was never fully explained, like your body has been trying to tell you something you have not yet learned to hear... I want you to know that you are not alone. You were never broken, you were simply never given the map. I am here to offer it to you, not to fix you or rush you but simply to walk beside you, cycle after cycle, as you slowly, sovereignly, come home to yourself.

With reverence,
Skye

Spirals and Thresholds was born out of my own unraveling. It's the space I made to honor the winding, non‑linear path of a woman remembering herself.
